How To Choose A Size:

First thing you need to know when choosing a skateboard is that the sizes are measured by the width of the board (in inches). The most common sizes, from smallest to biggest, are 6.5", 6.75", 7.0", 7.25", 7.375", 7.5", 7.625", 7.75", 7.875", 8.0", 8.125", 8.25", 8.375", and 8.5".

The Complete Skateboards that we sell range from 6.5" - 8.0" and this size range offers something for every age looking to get into skateboarding!

The best way to decide the size of skateboard you need is to refer to the shoe size of the skateboarder:

  • Size < 1 Shoe (US): 6.5" - 7.0" (MICROS)
  • Size 1-3 Shoe (US): 7.0" - 7.25" (MINIS)
  • Size 3-5 Shoe (US): 7.25" - 7.5" (MIDS)
  • Size 5-8 Shoe (US): 7.5" - 7.75" (FULLS)
  • Size 8+ Shoe (US): 7.75" - 8.0" (FULLS)

This size structure is to be used as a guide. It is perfectly fine to move up a size category if you want to, as learning on a wider base can help with balance (and this provides a better chance of finding a graphic you like, because at the end of the day the kids are going to use what they like to look at)!
